Primary duties and responsibilities for the position includes;

 Responsible for rigging team personnel, plant tools and equipment.

 Inspection and tagging of rigging plant, tools and equipment and maintaining accurate record,

 Delivery of method statements and rigging studies timeously,

 Supervise all rigging activities on site and personally supervise heavy lifts and or complicate lifts or lifts at heights,

 Requisition tools, plant and equipment timeously and in order to do so have a sound knowledge of the anticipated time schedule.

 Attendant site management meetings

All qualifications must comply with OHSA legislation and or regulations.

Qualifications include:

 Education – schooled with a command of English and French languages (in one definitely)

 Specialized knowledge – rigger qualified by an OHSA recognized organization or institute

 Skills – work with and motivate people

 Abilities – work under pressure without compromising safety

 Other qualifications – computer literacy (method statements and rigging studies) benefit

 Professional Certification – not required

 Experience – minimum of 10 years as a qualified rigger and an additional minimum of 2 years as a rigging supervisor.
