- Participate in the definition and
implement the strategy to onboard merchants on both ecommerce storefronts and
aggregated marketplace.
- Develop operational processes
required to support category management including merchant onboarding, quality
assurance, packaging, listing content, and reporting.
- Develop strong relationships with
key merchants, helping them with long-term solutions to their biggest
roadblocks; Understand their goals, and advise them on the best way to achieve
those goals.
- Manage the merchant base, negotiate
commission agreements with merchants and manufacturers and manage supplier
performance against agreements.
- Provide merchants with guidance on
best eCommerce practices, knowledge of industry trends, API support,
integration assistance, insight into analytics and SEO, conduct site audits,
and much more.
- Support the operations team in
delivering a world-class merchant experience – monitor category returns data,
support Opco’s customer service teams’ strategies on product queries and
resolving any customer complaints.
- Manage stock and availability
(including replenishment orders strategy for large merchants).
- Deliver on customer experience
within the department (ensuring products are delivered on time, merchant terms
are aligned, product quality is managed etc.).
- Drive merchant brand awareness
through developing marketing and category strategies with marketing/category
teams.
